Introducing the Peninsula State Park Eagle Tower memento.

Eagle Tower was constructed in 1932 atop the 180-foot Eagle Bluff in Peninsula State Park, where it stood for 84 years, serving both as a fire lookout and a sightseeing platform until it was finally dismantled in 2016. Generations of Door County residents and visitors braved the 75-foot climb above the treetops to marvel at the swaying, 360 degree panorama, from Ephraim to Horseshoe Island to Nicolet Bay, to the Strawberry Islands and the UP across the waters of Green Bay.

For those of us who climbed The Tower often, it was like losing a friend when it came down; a friend who could lift you up to stand at the treetops, where you could see eagles soaring far below.
